2007 Kimbolton The Rifleman Shiraz – 5 Stars
July / August McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek & Fleurieu
Bright Crimson wine with at delightfully earthy, chocolaty nose. Vibrant palate bursting with fruit, well supported by a fine tannic backbone.
The Rifleman Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 – 93 Points
Curiously deeper but more developed colour; more concentrated and rich than Fig Tree, despite its lower alcohol; some notes of dark chocolate are in the background, along with ripe tannins. Screwcap.

The Rifleman Langhorne Creek Shiraz 2008 – 92 Points
Good colour; a medium to full-bodied shiraz that is better able to carry its alcohol than House block, the finish more savoury than warm; has layers of black fruits and licorice, the tannins and oak balance good. Screwcap.
15.2% alc. Drink 2020. $42. James Halliday’s 2012 Companion
Block 18 Langhorne Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2010 – 91 Points
A well- made sauvignon blanc that ticks all the boxes, with an aromatic bouquet and highly flavoured palate, yet avoids any heaviness; the fruit is in the mid spectrum, with some passionfruit to provide lift. Great value. Screwcap.
12.5% alc. Drink 2012. $16. James Halliday’s 2012 Companion
Special Release Brad’s block Langhorne Creek Montepulciano 2008 – 91 Points
A little-known Italian red variety that offers a great deal of tantalising flavours centred around a basket of spices and some crushed tobacco leaf notes and a few red grapes scattered here and there. What I don’t get are it ‘crunchy yet smooth tannins’. Screwcap.
14.9%alc. Drink 2017. $28. James Halliday’s 2012 Companion
Fig Tree Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 2008- 90 Points
Has retained good hue, although not particularly deep; the bouquet has good cassis and blackcurrant fruit, with more of the some on the palate. Screwcap.

Regional Tasting Mclaren Vale, Langhorne Creek & Fleurieu
Complex, fleshy, chocolate / licorice bouquet and nicely textured palate with tight fruit layered with oak tannins. Lovely mouthfeel.
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon – 4 1/2 stars
Winestate magazine July / August 2009
Varietal tasting Cabernet Sauvignon & Blends
Simple, vibrant commercial style of cabernet with sweet, ripe candied red fruit aromas and great depth and balance to the sweet and minty palate.
2008 House Shiraz – 4 stars
Winestate magazine
McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek & Fleurieu regional tasting
Spicy, earthy, fruity wine with bit, tight fruit freshness, a lot of oak and some complexity devveloping, quite famininee”, observed one judge
2009 Fig Tree Cabernet Sauvignon – 4 1/2 stars
Cabernet Sauvignon & Blends varietal tasting
Impressive Old spice-like nose wth earthy characters and minty appeal. Good palate texture with sweet cassis fruit balanced by pleasant, lightweight tannins.
