Less than a month ago, we found out Grapes for Good won the "Tourism Collaboration Excellence" award at the South Australian Best of Wine Tourism Awards.

It's now skyrocketed to world-wide recognition after a global win at the 2023 International Best of Wine Tourism Awards, presented in Argentina at the Great Wine Capitals Annual Meeting and Conference.

It was an honour to represent South Australia and the Langhorne Creek Wine Region next to some of the most prestigious wine regions across five continents, benchmarking against the likes of Napa Valley and Bordeaux (AKA the crème de la crème of wine tourism).

How fortunate we are to have accomplished this with our neighbours and friends in the region!

What's more, this win reinforces the level of innovation and excellence of this initiative, especially when this year's international awards received 545 applications, only resulting in 75 regional winners and 11 global winners. We are still in shock!

But it doesn't end there. Grapes for Good has the chance to win the People’s Choice Award in the "Innovative Wine Tourism Experiences" category.
Voting is open now (until 21 November 2022) and we'd love your support! Click here to cast your vote.
About Grapes for Good

In 2021, Grapes for Good was launched as a collaborative conservation project between Zoos SA and our neighbours at Lake Breeze Wines, The Winehouse, Bremerton Wines, Bleasdale Vineyards and Vineyard Road Cellar Door.

Each winery features an animal found at nearby Monarto Safari Park on one of its wines. By following the Grapes for Good trail, you can journey across Langhorne Creek and collect all six. Create your itinerary here.

Kimbolton started this partnership with our Cheetah Cabernet Sauvignon and now also supports the gentle giant of the savannah, the giraffe, which is represented on our 2022 Fiano (a vibrant wine showing crisp, citrus characters with some delicious fresh pear, honey hints, and a rich texture).

This collaborative effort has raised over $30,000 in donations with the portion of proceeds of each sale supporting Monarto Safari Park and Zoos SA’s conservation mission.
Now is the perfect time to pay a visit to the Langhorne Creek Wine Region and pick up a Grapes for Good bottle, knowing that every sip will go towards protecting wildlife.

December will be here before we know it, so you might want to start making plans now to join us at our final Beats and Eats of the year: A Slice of Italy. On Saturday, 10 Decembe, we'll be combining three of your favourite things: pizza, wine, and live music at our multi-award-winning cellar door. Tickets are on sale now. Find more details and invite your friends here.

See you in the 'Creek,
 Nicole and the Kimbolton team
